A trash can. I’m tired of seeing bones and old tools left in the river

I was thinking it could be near the blacksmith, it’s usually where people cook their food and make their tools. So when you have a lot of bones after cooking meat, you can come to the blacksmith and throw it out. It should also work with bags, almost every server I join I see grass bags in random areas. Usually they are left at the bag crafting building. This causes lag and if it’s a big server, can cause lots of lag.

I absolutely want this suggestion to happen, except I'd love it if it was a recipe/craftable. Then, it could be placed strategically around areas on an as-needed basis for each individual server.
I also think it should have a timer before actually deleting the items inside of it, to prevent griefing/trolling/malicious behavior. Something more than a few minutes, but definitely not longer than 24 hours... 6~12 hours seems like a decent sweet spot. And, obviously, on a per-slot basis, so griefers/trolls couldn't just memorize 'okay this trash can resets at 6 PM, so I'll throw their Hoarder's Bag full of stuff in it at 5:59 PM!'.
[Edit] And yes, I realize most chests reset, but this can be, depending on where you're coming from: a long trek, a dangerous trek, or a this-is-gonna-take-too-damn-many-trips trek. Also, griefers can sorta-kinda memorize when chests are going to reset -- I've definitely had chests reset while I was looking in them, so yeah...

You can put items in loot chests and they will be deleted in the next loot cycle.

A trash can sounds great on paper, but easily has the power to become another form of griefing. Being able to throw anything in there, there is nothing that can restrict another player from taking a bag placed down for a moment & rushing it towards the trash can, never to be seen again. Even if a bag & all of its details and attachments thrown into the trash can were logged on console, manually rebuilding all of that can make server moderation stressful, especially on densely populated servers where this can become a recurring issue. At least with bags thrown into bodies of water, there is still a chance to recover it, even without the use of Flycams. This also applies for weapons, tools, and some important resources/materials.
If a Trash Can were to be made, it should 100% have a whitelist/blacklist of items that it'll accept, rather than accept everything with no restrictions. Giving server admins the power to modify this list per-server would actually be pretty helpful, allowing them to control whatever can be easily disposed of.

DragonRatTiger: how about you are only able to throw trash-tier items in it? (bones, feathers, apple cores, etc)

firespider: but then what about the tons of hilts and tool handles people make to test out new builds, those go to waste and take up space after... then if your lucky you can get a mod to delete them, but thats pc only since its hard and almost impossible to do commands on quest, and im pretty sure ones like that are imppossible on quest

DragonRatTiger you could also just like have it detect the last person that was holding the item, then it would send that person a confirmation message
