a lot of people have asked for placeable tents, however I have heard little about how they would function and what they would be useful for, so here's my shot at making tents have a purpose.
Tents can be crafted using some variety of cloth, sticks, and a big leather roll. the tent item can be placed in the big leather roll slot on a backpack. the player can set the tent like they can set a grass ball on the floor. placing the tent will immediately set it up (and maybe even set up a cute little campfire rock ring). surrounding the tent is a magical blue ring. anything placed in the ring will be saved as part of the tent. the tent will also have an easy to use bag hook on one rung of the tent support. if the player walks outside of the blue ring then the tent and all of it's contents will disappear and leave only a glowing phantom pedestal and hand icon behind. the pedestal is only visible for the player whom the tent belongs to. placing your hand on the apparition brings your tent back along with all saved items. if the player would like to move the tent, they can grab and move the opposite rung of the tent until it pops out just like pulling rocks or flint from the ground. picking up the tent does not save items and they instead stay on the floor.
the tent would be great for players exploring the forest and need a small place to recuperate or rest by. but it's main function is to be used as player storage. players have already proven that they want extended storage and a new personalized tent they can place anywhere they please would be a fun way to achieve that goal
